Setting up the seating plan #
To use this feature, please activate the “Seating plan” module.
It’s especially useful if you’re a restaurateur, or if you at least have a restaurant!
In this case, you’ll be able to use it to create a room, add cutlery and tables, edit your rooms, etc. In short, you’ll have a whole host of possibilities, which we’ll explain here.
- On the module page, you can “Go to configuration”.
- Press it
- You are on the seating plan management page
→ You can “Don’t ask for the number of covers when opening a table”.
→ You can perform an “Automatic return to the seating plan”, when opening the till or after performing actions on the ticket (cashing etc.).
→ Also accessible from the settings menu in the “Seating plan settings” tab
Create your seating plan #
To do this, you need
- Go to the module page, “Organize seating plan”.
→ Also available from the settings menu in the “Seating plan” tab
- You can then “Add a room”.
- You can “Edit the room”.
→ Give it a name, change the room background color
- You can also select a room or reorder existing ones.
- Like any good room, you can “Add a table”.
→ When adding a table, you decide on its name, shape and size, as well as the number of place settings for the table.
→ You can add as many tables as you like, however, you can’t give them the same name!
In restaurants, we usually sit on chairs, so we thought of you!
- You can, in fact, “Add a decor”.
→ In the same way as when adding a table, you can define the name of the decoration, its color etc.
Edit your seating plan #
To do so,
- Go to the side menu
- Press the “Seating plan” button
You are now on your previously created seating plan, from where you can :
- Performing “Actions on a table
→ You can “Transfer the table” from one room to another
→ You can “Associate a current ticket with a table”.
For example, if customers are at the bar and have ordered drinks, but now want to sit down at a table in the dining room. In this case, you can associate the drinks ticket with their table.
